• Inquiry forms— your name, email, phone, the child’s age, and your message, so a provider (or our team) can respond.
• Reviews — the name you choose to display, your rating, and review text. Reviews are moderated before publication.
• Partner / “For Schools” enquiries — contact and organisation details you submit.
• Newsletter — your email address, if you subscribe.
• Usage data — anonymised analytics (pages viewed, approximate region, device) to improve the site. See our Cookie Policy.

Children’s data

Eduwl is intended for use by parents and guardians, not children. We ask only for a child’s age range to help match suitable providers — never a child’s name or contact details. Please do not submit more information about a child than necessary.

How we use your data

• To respond to your inquiries and connect you with providers.
• To publish moderated reviews that help other families.
• To send the newsletter you requested (you can unsubscribe anytime).
• To understand and improve how the site is used.
• To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.

Legal bases

We process data on the basis of your consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), to take steps at your request (inquiries), and our legitimate interests (running, securing, and improving the service) — balanced against your rights.

Sharing

We share inquiry details with the relevant school or nursery so they can respond. We use trusted processors to run the service — including Supabase (database & storage), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting & analytics), and Cloudflare (spam protection). We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — typically: inquiries and partner leads for up to 24 months, published reviews until you ask us to remove them, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Anonymised analytics may be kept longer.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. To exercise any right, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a clearer notice.
