When does the 2026/27 UAE school year start and end?

For public schools and most private schools, the 2026/27 year runs from Monday 31 August 2026 to 2 July 2027. The main breaks are:

  • First-term break: 12–18 October 2026
  • Winter break: 14 December 2026 – 3 January 2027
  • Spring break: 5–11 April 2027

Some schools set their own dates — Sharjah public schools and private schools following the Indian, Bangladeshi or Pakistani curricula keep separate calendars — so always confirm with your specific school.
